Transfer work from folders to binders
Download Senior Project Survival Guide if you have not dowmloaded already.  
Library Research:  Class Meets in Library
Resources in Library vs. Web
Review of Digital Library Resources with a focus on Senior Projects

Homework
Revise Letters of Intent and remember to multi- space to leave room for comments. Most letters will need another revision before approval!
Print out corrections/suggestions from turnitin.com and staple to revised draft

Revise Letter to the Editor from Op-Ed Unit. Pay careful attention to the suggestions.
Proofread. remeber your revised papers are part of your Senior Portfolio which is a graduation requirement!

Review recommended Apps for research
·      Flipboard- daily news on your topic ( free)
·      Easybib ( free)
·      Los Angeles Times   (pay wall after a set limit)
·      New York Times  (pay wall after a set limit)
·      IAnnotate, Goodreader or Papers (allows you do aannotate  .pdf files)   ( range from approximately $5 to $10). 

Wednesday Sept 3

Class work
Library Research Day 2
Evaluating websites and advanced Google Search using the CAARDS TET and CRAAP methods. Students will do a search and complete a handout in which they are asked to evaluate a website related to their senior project topic.

Homework
Revised Letter of Intent due and 5 credible articles on your topic!  Staple together or have in a folder.

Thursday September 4th

Class work
Do Racial Profiling Unit Activities 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5
Work in your groups  Pay attention to your grammar and syntax!

Homework
Do Activity 6 and 8

Friday

Turn in Activities 1-6 and 8
Individual Meetings reviewing Articles and Letters of intent
Be prepared to stay after school!!!!!
