Senior Project Teaching Lesson Confirmation Worksheet

Senior Project Teaching Lesson Confirmation Worksheet

“The Teaching Project requires students to apply their research by teaching others about an aspect of their topic.  With the guidance of a mentor teacher, student teachers will design a lesson and teach this lesson to a class in a 50-minute period.  Prior to teaching their lesson, they will conduct a pre-assessment to determine what their students know about their topic.  They will then use this information to help them create a lesson plan.  Through this experience, student teachers will learn the basics of a lesson, including creating a visual aid/s and an assessment.  Students are expected to demonstrate professionalism by dressing appropriately on the day of their lesson. They will be evaluated on the quality of their lesson and their delivery of their lesson”.

Mentor Teachers are responsible for reviewing lesson plan, PowerPoints, and handouts before student teacher presentation.  Mentor Teachers are responsible for supervising the accuracy and signing student teacher physical project log.
